LoMusic at a wedding at Cases Velles: technical production at the Four Seasons Formentor estate

The stage, dance floor, lighting and sound in orange – the common theme running through the whole wedding

Few estates in Mallorca boast such a unique setting as Cases Velles, in the heart of the Formentor peninsula and linked to the Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor. Set amongst vineyards, olive groves and Mediterranean woodland, this 15th-century estate, with its historic chapel and stone courtyards, was the setting for a wedding at which LoMusic handled all the technical production: stage, dance floor, platforms, lighting and sound, all designed around the colour orange, which characterised every moment of the celebration.

Stage, dance floor and platforms

We set up the stage and the dance floor as the focal point of the party, along with the platforms needed to organise the space and give height and prominence to the key areas of the celebration. The whole setup was designed to blend in with the overall aesthetic of the wedding, with orange serving as the unifying theme across every visible element.

Lighting: disco balls, sun lights, moving heads, Fresnel spotlights and battery-powered spotlights

For this wedding, we put together a comprehensive lighting design, combining different types of equipment to create a variety of atmospheres throughout the evening:

• A set of disco balls, adding that festive, retro touch that sets the tone for the party.
• Sun lights, to create a warm and cosy atmosphere on the dance floor.
• Moving heads, which we use to play with movement and colour – in shades of orange – during the party’s most intense moments.
• Fresnel spotlights, providing softer, more controlled lighting at key moments during the celebration.
• Battery-powered spotlights, illuminating live musical performances with complete freedom of placement, without the need for wiring.

All this equipment was coordinated so that the lighting complemented every stage of the wedding, from the most intimate moments to the liveliest party, whilst always keeping orange as the predominant colour.

Sound and speakers

We rounded off the technical set-up with a sound system and speakers tailored to the estate’s outdoor spaces, ensuring consistent audio quality both during the ceremony and the reception, without the natural surroundings of Cases Velles being compromised by the technical installation.

A production conceived as a whole

As with every LoMusic project, the aim was not simply to deal with the technical aspects in isolation, but to design a cohesive production: the stage, the dance floor, the platforms, the lighting and the sound all working together, with orange serving as the visual thread running through every element, from the lights to the overall aesthetic of the set-up.
